'Tristan & Isolde': one of the biggest Celtic legends and with no doubt the most tragic of the love stories.
Recorded in Brittany, Ireland, England, Australia, United States and Italy, the album is a work for symphony orchestra and musicians, including 20 original tracks.
Evoking chronologically the story of the mythical lovers, Alan Simon would like to offer the public a romantic work where symphonic movements, songs and laments punctuate this new album.
To magnify the original score, the Breton songwriter collaborated closely with the American musical director and arranger Lee Holdridge ('Beauty and the Beast', 'Call of the Wild', 'One life to live'...). One year in the studio has been necessary to complete this new concept album whose 48 page booklet will allow us to follow the whole story in three languages (French, Breton and English).
Finally the mixing is done by Marco Canepa, a long time sound-engineer of Angelo Branduardi and Paolo Conte but also of Alan Simon since the beginnings of the 'Excalibur' trilogy.
